A vibrant learning hub amid lush greenery

With a prime location at the heart of University Town (UTown®), there is a constant buzz at the Education Resource Centre (ERC).

Open to the NUS community, ERC attracts students with its array of IT and multimedia facilities, plentiful study clusters and group discussion spaces where students can brainstorm for group projects or work individually on course assignments.

Designed to foster collaborative learning, the technology-infused seminar rooms in UTown also encourage professors to introduce new teaching methods, which could eventually be replicated to the wider NUS community. Such strategic planning demonstrates the University’s commitment to enhance the overall educational experience for all NUS students.

Computer Commons

Located on level 1 of Education Resource Centre (ERC), the two Computer Commons offer a mix of open and semi-enclosed spaces as well as private meeting rooms for students who wish to have project meetings. Students and staff who need to prepare for their presentation(s) and/or conduct video conferencing can do so with the aid of high-end Windows and Macintosh-based computers at the Commons.

Make a beeline for one of the Computer Commons now!

Study Clusters

With ample power sockets, wireless connectivity, mobile whiteboards along the corridors and quick-access computers, the Education Resource Centre (ERC) is the latest student hangout.

Besides the Computer Commons meant for collaborative learning, students can venture to the outdoor study areas for project meetings or The Study at level 2 and the Ian and Peony Ferguson Study at level 3 for self-study.

Learning Cafe

Where learning never stops

Overlooking Town Green, the spacious learning café located at the lower ground of Education Resource Centre (ERC) is a great place to hang out. With wireless access, numerous power sockets as well as refreshments from Starbucks, the place promotes social interaction and intellectual discourses in a relaxed setting.

To liven up the place, the official campus radio station — Radio Pulze — will also broadcast live from a glass studio adjacent to the learning café. Look forward to more vibrancy at the ever lively ERC!
