🔍 On 14th and 15th May, staff from UCI took part in “Unlocking the Future of Work: Collaborating with Generative AI to Enhance Creativity & Productivity”, a two-day interactive workshop hosted in collaboration with the NUS Office of Human Resources Learning and Development Academy.
Participants discussed key topics such as how Generative AI works, potential pitfalls in its use, the importance of effective prompting, and how to collaborate with AI for research and idea generation. Participants also explored the broader ethical and societal considerations surrounding AI and its impact on the way we work.
With a mix of face-to-face instruction, in-class group discussions, and hands-on activities, the program encouraged participants to stay curious, ask questions even when AI provides answers, and apply practical strategies for integrating AI into their daily workflows.
At UCI, we’re committed to developing our people and supporting them in discovering new ways to enhance how we work. This workshop is one example of how we’re empowering staff to engage with emerging technologies in thoughtful, ethical, and impactful ways.
