OFM instituted a focused strategy of systematic building maintenance by dividing into different zones for NUS – with each zone responsible for a specified area of campus. Facilities Officers (FO) are assigned to specific zones to encourage familiarisation with stakeholders and buildings to ease the carrying out of routine maintenance works.
Requests for non-routine needs on occasions by building occupants will also be attended to by the zonal FOs. These additional requested works will be charged to the requesting department(s).
Consultation with the Zone Managers on the appropriateness and cost to be incurred is strongly encouraged.
