On February 10th, we had the pleasure of hosting a distinguished delegation from the University of Copenhagen, one of NUS’ valued partner universities from Denmark. The delegation included Professor Kristian Cedervall Lauta, Pro-Rector Education and Global Engagement, Professor Carsten Selch Jensen, International Dean & Dean of Theology, and Ms. Hedvig Gyde Thomsen, Head of International Strategic Partnerships & Alliances.
As part of their visit to NUS, Deliang Loo, PBM, Head of UCI’s Sustainability Strategy Unit shared insights on NUS’ sustainability strategy, framework and projects under the Campus Sustainability Roadmap 2030. The visit concluded with a tour of SDE4, Singapore’s first purpose-built net-zero energy building. It was a valuable opportunity to exchange notes on the common challenges and strategies for fostering ownership of sustainability goals in universities and engaging diverse stakeholders – from students and administrative staff to academia.
We look forward to engaging in deeper conversations with local and international partners to promote campus sustainability.
