Located in a modern setting in the convenience of a small town, University Town offers unique rooms with impressive views. It is the first of its kind in Singapore’s higher learning landscape. Linked to the NUS Kent Ridge campus via a link bridge (College Link), UTown® is where some 4100 people work, live, and learn in close proximity. It is has 4 residential colleges, graduate students apartments, guest apartments, sport facilities and is walking distance to many cultural and educational facilities at Kent Ridge.
There are four residential colleges in UTown® — Tembusu College, Cinnamon College (home to the University Scholars Programme), College of Alice & Peter Tan and Residential College 4. A first for Singapore, the residential colleges are learning communities where students — enrolled in an academic programme — learn from and live alongside their professors.
Each Residential College has a Master who will be supported by a team of faculty fellows, graduate tutors and staff. They will develop the academic tone and character of the college.
Each college is also equipped with facilities such as theme rooms, multipurpose halls, dining halls, student lounges and common lounges. These facilities aim to create a supportive friendly environment, cultivating spirited communities through social, educational and cultural interaction.
As with all of our residences, your room at UTown® comes fully furnished with beds, desks, and wardrobes that maximize living space. Points for personal telephone, television and computer linkage to the university’s network and the Internet, are provided in every room.
Whether an air-conditioned room or fan provided room, your comfort is our priority. Each apartment come with a common bathroom which is ample and spacious.

A 4-Bedroom Apartment is designed to include four single bedrooms, common shower and toilet facilities, a common living area and a dry kitchen shared among the graduate students. The common living area is well ventilated with a ceiling fan, equipped with sofa, a shoe rack and a dining table while the dry kitchen comes with a sink, microwave and a fridge. Each single room is equipped with a single bed, a ceiling fan, a writing desk and chair, a bookshelf, a wardrobe and a mobile pedestal. Living in a suite promotes interactive bonding and cultural exchanges as they get to communicate with students from various faculties and nationalities. A common writing glass panel at the common living area allows resident to write notes for fellow residents enhancing their relationship with one another.

A self-contained apartment, ideal for married couples and graduate students, the UTown® married apartments are designed to include a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a separate bedroom. The living room consists of a sofa, book shelves, TV console and a dining table. The bedroom has a ceiling fan a queen size bed, a writing desk and a wardrobe. The kitchenette is equipped with stoves and other kitchen utensils which residents can utilise for cooking their own meal instead of eating out.

A single-person living space furnished with a single bed, a ceiling fan, a writing desk and chair, a bookshelf, a wardrobe and a mobile pedestal. Shower and toilet facilities as well as kitchenettes (at selected levels) are located along the common corridors. Kitchenettes are equipped with stoves and other kitchen utensils where residents can cook their own meals instead of eating out.

A 6-Bedroom Apartment comes with six single bedrooms, common shower and toilet facilities and a common living area shared among the students. UTown® Residence, also known as UTR, is located in the heart of NUS University Town. It is the first of its kind in Singapore’s higher learning landscape where both undergraduate and graduate students live and learn in close proximity. The design of the residence emphasizes open common areas, and the architecture fosters a sense of community and cross-disciplinary discussion. UTR oversees the large Town Green, which is a big green space for students to gather, play sports or even have a picnic. UTR consists of the North and South Tower, which can house up to 1,700 residents.
