Residents living at Residential Colleges, NUS College and Halls of Residence and required to subscribe to compulsory meal plans.
In each Dining Hall, there are various options provided for the residents each day. The menus are served based on a 4-weeks cycle for breakfast and an 8-weeks cycle for dinner, to reduce food fatigue. The meal options offered are prepared in Halal, Non-Halal and Vegetarian. In addition, residents can enjoy a variety of dining options for breakfast and dinner, ranging from Chinese, Western, Indian and Malay cuisines.
Residents are given meal credits, redeemable for meals during each meal period — a portion shall be allocated to F&B cash Valve (Dual Wallet) which may be utilized at various participating canteens in NUS.
Residents may redeem up to 3 meal credits per meal session, however, the meal credit will be deducted accordingly from the meal plan entitlement during the semester.
All meal credits expire at the end of the semester. Unused meal credits will be used to fund and support special events such as Formal Dinners, Monthly Theme Nights and Meal Enhancements (e.g. soy milk, juices, etc.). Please note that the Meal Plan is compulsory for the stay at the RCs and Halls — inclusive of whether residents have to attend internship outside of the school and campus during semester.
