The Operations Control and Coordination Section aim to safeguard the University’s community and properties through the effective management of incidents and fit-for-purpose technologies. This is achieved by adopting a 3-prong approach of holistic oversight of campus operations, pursuing technological enhancements, and carrying out investigations into student related offences.
The Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) leverages on technological systems and IOT sensors to enable information sense making and trend forecasting, monitoring and performing oversight of ground operations, and conducting swift resolution to incidents and emergencies.
Operations Technology Unit employs a multi-layered, technology-enhanced security strategy to address evolving risks while ensuring operational continuity. By leveraging on smart systems, automation, and data-driven insights, it helps NUS to remain at the forefront of campus security and emergency readiness.
Investigations Unit carries out investigations into serious student-related offences and collaborates with the University’s stakeholders to provide support to the students concerned.
