Campus Emergency and Security

UCI Campus Emergency and Security (CES) comprises of four Sections: Integrated Operations, Operational Development and Response, Emergency Preparedness and Management, and Services Management; anchored by the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC).

Our mission focuses on developing and pursuing comprehensive security, fire safety, and emergency preparedness policies and programmes for the university. While safeguarding lives and university assets remains our core business, CES has pivoted from a security-centric operational approach to an integrated operational model through the IOC. The Centre integrates diverse technological systems to provide a holistic overview of information from various UCI business functions, allowing us to manage incidents and address issues comprehensively.

This integrated model facilitates better decision making, streamlines incident management, and helps to identify, assess, and resolve issues promptly across UCI. The transformation seeks to improve the community’s satisfaction, demonstrating UCI and CES commitment to providing effective services and support.
