About Building Technology

Supporting CAM in the adoption of relevant building technologies in new and existing developments through integrative design processes. The unit guides the design team during the integrative design stage for existing and new buildings to capture that relevant building technologies that would deliver the milestones set in the prevailing masterplan. Unit also introduces information and communication technologies (ICTs) and its applications, including, Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence in facilitating the transition to smart safe sustainable NUS.

Some on-going projects:

BMS Upgrade: Future proof provisions that include BMS capability to interface with other software in support of smart building initiatives.

Campus Metering Upgrade: Enable for Energy Management System for effective monitoring and better visualization and of energy consumption in campus

Smart Buildings: Autonomous Building for Energy Optimization, Automated predictive and prescriptive maintenance, Continuous monitoring of building performance & sustainability impact, NUS IT building & UHall Building
